Michael R. Stillman has built a career, and a firm, defined by adaptability, leadership, and an unwavering commitment to the creditors rights industry. As the founding principal of Stillman Law Office, Michael has grown the Farmington Hills, Michigan-based practice into a multi-state operation serving clients across the country in areas including commercial and retail collections, insurance subrogation, equipment lease litigation, and bankruptcy-related creditor representation.
Licensed in Michigan, Maryland, Massachusetts, and the District of Columbia, Michael brings decades of industry knowledge and practical experience to his role as NCBA Immediate Past President. Throughout his career, he has remained deeply engaged in the legal community, frequently lecturing on topics ranging from collections and bankruptcy to foreclosures and landlord/tenant matters. Under his guidance, Stillman Law Office has continued to evolve alongside the changing legal and regulatory landscape while maintaining a strong focus on client service and operational excellence.
As a leader within NCBA, he has consistently championed collaboration, education, and advocacy on behalf of members and the industry at large. His perspective as both a business owner and practicing attorney has made him a trusted voice within the organization and across the creditors rights community.
Outside the office, Michael enjoys traveling, golfing, and spending time with his family of nine (his wife, his two adult children and their spouses, and his three dogs!).
NCBA is grateful for Michael’s continued leadership, service, and dedication to the Association and its members.
