Speaker Tips

  • NARCA offers live-polling to attendees and offers this as a way to increase interaction and interest.  Contact Jim Podewitz at by April 17th if you would like to use this feature.
  • For additional interaction and increased learning, we encourage you to pose questions to attendees that require them to discuss with those seated near them.  If you anticipate a series of  questions that might benefit from room facilitators, contact Jim Podewitz at
  • Focus on National topics as much as possible rather than individual jurisdictions.
  • Unless the session is geared to a particular firm size, remember that NARCA is made up of firms that range in size from solo practitioners to 100+ attorneys. It's always most beneficial to speak to all firms.
  • Since the session will be recorded, unless attendee questions can be clearly heard with a microphone, be sure to repeat the question.

Educational & Copyright Considerations

**As a reminder, participants in NARCA programs are seeking valuable education sessions and are always critical of presenters or sessions that are self-promotional. Presenters may not use a conference session for commercial sales pitches, self-promotion or unwarranted criticism of a competitor. Presentations should only advance the educational process; sales pitches do not and are therefore not acceptable. Speakers are not permitted to distribute company promotional literature, brochures or sales material in any form to attendees during their session. Lastly, any session materials used that are not authored by the presenting speaker must include copyright information and/or reprint permission.
